Selam! It is great news for our community in Pennsylvania! This recognition helps create awareness of Ethiopia's important role in world history.
On June 3, 2026, the Pennsylvania House of Representatives voted overwhelmingly to recognize and declare March 2 as Adwa Victory Day in Pennsylvania.
The victory of Battle of Adwa stands as a symbol of freedom, unity, and resistance against colonialism, inspiring people around the world.
God willing, we will celebrate this historic achievement in a big way next year!

ዕለቱ ግንቦት ፳፫/23 “በዓለ ጰራቅሊጦስ የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቅደስት ቤተክርስቲያናችን በልዩ ክብርና በታላቅ መንፈሳዊ ድምቀት ከምታከብራቸው በዓላት መካከል አንዱ ነው።
ከሙታን ተለይቶ ከተነሣ ከ፶ኛው፤ ከዐረገ ከ፲ኛው ቀን ጀምሮ እስከሚቀጥለው እሑድ ድረስ ያለው ወቅትም ዘመነ ጰራቅሊጦስ ተብሎ የሚጠራ ነው። በዓለ ጰራቅሊጦስ በየዓመቱ ትንሣኤን ባከበርን በሃምሳኛው ቀን ላይ ይውላል። ጲራቅሊጦስ ማለት ከሦስቱ አካላት አንዱ ለሆነው የእግዚአብሔር መንፈስ ቅዱስ መጠሪያ ስም ነው። በዓለ ጰራቅሊጦስ ‘በዓለ ጰንጠቆስጤም ’ እየተባለም ይጠራል። እንዲሁም ታላቁ ሊቅ ቅ/ዮሐንስ አፈወርቅ ይህን በዓል “የቤተክርስቲያን የልደት ቀን” በዓለ ጰራቅሊጦስ ወይም በዓለ ጰንጠቆስጤ ከዘጠኙ የጌታችን የመድኃኒታችን የኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ዐበይት በዓላት አንዱ ሲሆን መንፈስ ቅዱስ ለሐዋርያት የወረደበትን ቀን የምናስብበት በዓል ነው።”የእግዚአብሔር ቸርነት፣ የእመቤታችን የቅድስት ድንግል ማርያም አማላጅነትና የቅዱሳን ተራዳኢነት አይለየን።

Selam!
The construction of Salayish Abo Church is progressing well, even under the challenging circumstances in the Northern Showa region.
At the moment, transporting materials from Addis Ababa has become very difficult due to the gas shortage and safety concerns along the roads. Chauffeurs are especially hesitant to transport essential materials such as corrugated iron and blocks from Addis because of these risks.
We remain hopeful that the situation will improve soon. Thank you all for your continued support and prayers🙏🏾
