You do not need to be a theologian to start a CFM group.

You need a few people willing to gather, pray, listen, learn—and occasionally disagree about whose turn it is to host. 😉

CFM creates a welcoming place for families and adults to grow in faith, strengthen relationships, and encourage one another. This year’s guide, **_Traditions: Sacred and Secular_**, offers eight ready-made meeting topics to help your group get started. citeturn507648view0

Groups usually begin in August or September. Who could you invite?

Heading into the Weekend… 🎒🙏

With school starting this month, family calendars are filling up again—early mornings, packed lunches, homework, activities, practices, and the familiar question: “Where did you put your shoes?” 😄

🙏 Pray: For students, parents, teachers, school staff, and everyone beginning a new school year. May God give them patience, courage, wisdom, and joy.
❤️ Connect: Around the dinner table this weekend, ask: “What are you most excited about this school year—and what are you a little nervous about?”
🙌 Act: Choose one simple way to encourage someone heading back to school. Write a note for a teacher, check in on another parent, pray for a student by name, or donate needed school supplies.
😄 Smile: Back-to-school season: when families rediscover that getting everyone dressed, fed, supplied, and out the door on time is practically a spiritual gift.

As we head into the weekend, may we remember that God goes with our families into every classroom, hallway, carpool line, lunchroom, and new beginning.

What does your family do to make the start of a new school year special?

🌿 Deeper Faith. Stronger Families.
Why do traditions matter?
Our traditions help tell the story of who we are—and many can also help lead us more deeply into our Catholic faith. This year, CFM’s Traditions: Sacred and Secular program invites families to explore the rich Sacred Traditions of the Church while looking more closely at the traditions we practice in our homes and communities.
As the guide explains, the hope is to bring CFM members into “a deeper faith” by exploring Sacred Traditions and reconnecting secular traditions to their roots.
And what better place for that journey than together as a family? ❤️
💬 Let’s talk: What family tradition has strengthened your faith? Maybe it’s Sunday Mass followed by breakfast, a special Advent custom, praying before meals, celebrating a patron saint, or something passed down through generations.
Share yours in the comments—we may inspire one another to begin a new tradition!

🌿 A New Year, A Shared Journey 🌿
A new CFM year is here, and we're excited to begin exploring our 2026–2027 Program Guide, Traditions: Sacred and Secular!
As families, we're called to grow together in faith—not only by learning about our Catholic traditions, but by living them every day at home, at church, and in our communities.
"CFM is a movement of families transforming the world at home, at church and in society, by demonstrating love and energy that attracts others to Christ. CFM aims to stir up the domestic church to truly be heralds of the Good News."
Throughout this program year, we'll journey together as we explore the rich Sacred Traditions of the Church, reconnect secular traditions to their Catholic roots, and discover new ways to put our faith into action.

💬 Reflection:
What family tradition has helped strengthen your faith over the years?

🙏 This Week's Challenge:
Read the Introduction of the new Program Guide before your first CFM meeting and talk together as a family about one tradition you'd like to deepen or begin this year.

Together in faith. Together in action.
