Say their names.

Tammy McCollum. Cerina Fairfax. Nancy Metayer Bowen.

Black women whose homes should have been safe, yet whose lives were ended by the men closest to them.

This isn't new. It's been happening since the beginning of this country. What's different now is that it's being recorded, reported, finally seen. Say Their Names was never meant to be a hashtag for everybody to borrow — it was built for Black women, to make sure their names don't disappear into statistics.

So we say them. Out loud. On purpose.

Rest in power.

We truly enjoyed tabling at this Juneteenth community celebration.

Shoutout to Courtney Thompkins and other community plaintiffs in the lawsuit. This settlement could set a precedent for other communities seeking accountability.
