🇺🇸 Calling all Cub Scout Packs & Scouts BSA Troops!! The VFW in Avella has 8 large bags of flags ready for a proper retirement ceremony and needs YOUR help!

Troops 1305B & G have already stepped up to take 2 bags — but there are still 6 bags left that need a home. This is a wonderful opportunity for Scouts to honor our flag, serve their community, and earn some meaningful experience along the way. Interested? Contact Iny Decker Marks for more information!

Did you know that Laurel Highlands Council has camperships available to defray some of the cost of Summer Residence camp at Heritage? Details are as follows (apologies for the lengthy post!).

The purpose of a campership is to assist those Scouts with a financial need to attend a summer camping experience. Completion of this form DOES NOT automatically guarantee a campership.

Applications must be received by March 1. Applications received after this date will not be considered. Notification of camperships awarded will go to the Unit Leader and to the parents/guardians. All award amounts are based on early bird discounts. Awards will be credited directly to camper registrations and will show as "Pending" until the Scout's attendance at camp is verified.

All information must be completed. Camperships are not transferable to either another Scout or another year. A few things to keep in mind:

1. In order to receive any Campership awards, Scouts must have their names in the registration exactly the same as on their application.

2. Individual campership applications must be submitted for EACH SCOUT requesting assistance.

3. DO NOT combine family members on the same form.

4. DO NOT include adult camping costs or information.

Don't delay; apply today!
