A family in Florida never imagined their lives would change in an instant.

Their 10-year-old child was struck by two vehicles while riding a bicycle, suffering devastating injuries that required a medically induced coma and intensive care. Doctors feared the worst, and the family remained by their child's bedside through days of uncertainty, hoping and praying for a miracle. Thankfully, the child has shown encouraging signs of recovery, but the road ahead will be long and difficult.

This is exactly why Safety Net of Hope exists.

When a child is hospitalized for an extended period after a tragic accident, parents shouldn't have to choose between staying at their child's bedside and paying their mortgage, rent, utilities, groceries, or other essential bills.

Today, we celebrate all fathers, dads, stepdads, grandfathers, foster fathers, guardians, and the countless father figures who make a difference in a child's life.

Anyone can help bring a child into this world, but it takes a special person to raise, guide, protect, and love that child through life's challenges. It takes dedication, sacrifice, patience, and a heart full of love.

At Safety Net of Hope, we see fathers sitting beside hospital beds, holding tiny hands through difficult days, comforting scared children, and doing everything they can to keep their families strong during unimaginable circumstances. Your love and commitment do not go unnoticed.
