Spreading love and giving back this holiday season! ✨ Just Mediation Pittsburgh came together with staff and friends to collect donations for Pittsburgh's chapter of Food Not Bombs at our annual holiday party. Steel City FNB is an all-volunteer movement that distributes food and necessary supplies to hungry and unhoused neighbors in Pittsburgh. JMP and friends managed to collect hundreds of essential items, including individually packaged snacks, drink mixes, toiletries, warm clothing, hand warmers, and more. JMP wants to extend a huuuuge CONGRATULATIONS to our sibling organization Rent Help PGH + Eviction Rapid Response for being recognized at the Pittsburgh Pirate's Nonprofit of the Game on September 10th as the Pirates faced off against the Miami Marlins. A portion of each ticket went to support RentHelpPGH's work to bring housing stability to families living in Allegheny County! 🎉

MEET OUR TEAM! Before joining JMP, Sofia worked for the University of Pittsburgh in the Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies department as an archives associate, where they helped to develop a website linking Bioethics research with Pittsburgh’s specific history during the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Sofia strives to include compassionate care, critical thinking, and attention to detail in every aspect of their work, while emphasizing the historic good of communities caring for and about one another.

Sofia is an active board member of The Mr. Roboto Project, where they advocate for better accessibility and inclusivity in Pittsburgh’s music scene. In their spare time, Sofia loves to play with their cats, Lentil and Kibbeh, while critiquing book-to-film adaptations of the mid-2000s. Thanks for being part of our team, Sofia!
