Since 2017 the Prodigies Showcase has featured Pittsburg Poets, rhymers, and musicians one last time before our seniors walk that stage. Because we believe that poetry and the arts are about COMMUNITY, UPLIFTING our gente, and TRANSFORMING our realities for the better, the Showcase is always open to Slam Club & Pittsburg Prodigies Alumni, Pittsburg Community Members, Elders, PUSD Staff, and our greater multigenerational poetry community across the Bay Area! Come hear some of the best youth poets, emcees, and professional artists in the entire Bay Area spit one last time before summer! Don’t miss this opportunity to support our young artist community here in the P.

MC OLYMPICS 2026 was STACKED!!! Congrats to Prodigies .b.moments for officially becoming a TWO-TIME MCO Champion and to for taking top 3 alongside the bros!! A total of 6 former prodigies blessed this mic in the mission—the deep east bay and the P are proud gentleman🫡🫡🫡Everybody won this weekend the vibes cut through the cold weather and the venue trying to kick us out😂 LOVE TO THE EMCEES, YALL CARRY THE CULTURE!! We can’t lose as long as you keep making bangers and speaking your truths🔥🔥🔥

LOVE also to Zoe, Aleah, and the entire team for giving our rhymers a platform and getting them PAID. Community stronger than ever. The marathon continues!!

Lady P has been deeply involved in dance and poetry for over 4 years, and is currently the president of PHS Koreo and the Pittsburg Prodigies for 2025-2026. She is preparing for her first Brave New Voices appearance this summer proudly representing the P!

Often associated with the creative collective 7ENTITY, his work blends hip-hop with deeply personal narratives about self-discovery and navigating the world through art.

📸: FIRE IN MY SECTION ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: Wanda Gonzalez is a contemporary R&B singer and songwriter from the Bay Area. Born in Nicaragua, and raised in Richmond, California. Wanda has always been passionate about music and has been singing ever since she’s been able to speak. Having grown up in church, Wanda was introduced to music at a very young age and by the age of 7, she was part of the church choir. By age 9, Wanda began playing various instruments including the drums, piano and guitar. She began writing her own lyrics by age 11 and was able to get into a studio to record her original music for the first time by age 13. This is what solidified her dream of becoming a singer-songwriter. Wanda recently released her debut EP titled “Bittersweet”. A story of love, heartbreak, self- love and self-discovery.

📸: FIRE IN MY SECTION ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: is an Artist from Richmond, California, with deep connections to Pittsburg and In My Section. 510 is a former Pittsburg Prodigies club president, community organizer, and man of the people. He has been on national tours, and has been writing and recording since the age 15. In addition to being a powerful leader for any organization he touches, his effortless flows, melodic hooks, and creative wordplay have cemented his status as a rising legend in the Bay Area Music scene.

BNV is back in the YAY AREA for 2026 so you already know we gotta show out for our section🔥🔥🔥

IMS TEACHING ARTIST RESIDENCY / AFTER SCHOOL WORKSHOP HIGHLIGHTS JAN-MARCH 2026!!

THE DREAM DONT STOP🚀🚀🚀So far in just spring 2026 alone we have put on 20 after school workshops for our youth artists, wrapping up an incredible 7 month IMS Teaching Artist Residency, which housed a record 10 emerging Pittsburg artists this school year! Almost $7000 has been distributed directly to the kids through residency and attendance stipends.💸💸💸 ARTISTS GET PAID!!

Safe, creative, and healing environments are hard to find, and we make sure our orgs heartbeat is the day by day space we share together. Steel continues to sharpen steel. IMS and the Prodigies got a BOOKED AND BUSY spring and summer season. Donate to support the youth at the link in our bio🧡🌿
