Hello from Lauren Paige the founder and director of GSRR. It’s been awhile! We’ve been out of commission here for some time now as I needed to take a hiatus from dogs for awhile. A few years ago, I found my way back. This time with a little black pug named Bert. A rescue from Oklahoma.
I once again witnessed a need to help the problem dogs as I always have. I obtained a prestigious certification from Ivan Balabanov through training without conflict. I am now a TWC certified professional dog trainer and this is my full time job. A dream come true. I am so lucky to no longer be sitting at a desk!
Many of you know me or might remember me from 100 years ago. I will say I’ve changed and grown and failed and succeeded at so much in the last 10 years I’ve been away. It’s been a roller coaster. And if you don’t know or remember me, welcome, and I hope you take a minute to get to know me and see what I have to offer these days. I encourage you to check out the training without conflict community and please reach out if you have any questions.
My passion continues to remain with the underdogs. The problem dogs. The dogs everyone says are “too difficult” or “too much”. In the years after the closure of this rescue, I became incredibly talented at my trade and have found even greater success with these cases. I wish I knew then what I know now! Isn’t that how it always works…
Dog training to me is all about communication. Effective communication can be challenging but is essential for every being whether it be human or animal. Working through PTSD of a traumatic event can be just as tough for our dogs as it is for us. My training focuses on that communication with you AND your dog; creating a common language, mutual understanding, and trust through teamwork for us all. Changing your dogs emotions through relationship building and purpose allows them to trust us to see the world differently and have the clarity they need to understand what is expected of them and thrive.
I hope you’ll follow along with my newest adventure and appreciate the work I continue to do. I want to apologize for my absence, but I’m back and I’m here now. I look forward to the future training in Vermont and the Midwest.
