The Wood County Sheriff's Office would like to take the time and express our deep appreciation to everyone who reached out whether that was a call, text, thought, or bringing food to the deputies during the loss of Deputy Pollard. We are thankful for the friends, family, and community here in Wood County.

National Police Week (May 11, 2025-May 17, 2025)

During National Police Week, the East Texas 100 Club stands in solemn tribute to the brave law enforcement officers who have given their lives in the line of duty and in steadfast support of those who continue to protect and serve our communities.

Our mission is simple: to support the families of fallen heroes and provide critical resources to the men and women who keep East Texas safe. This week, we reflect on the sacrifices made and reaffirm our commitment to those who wear the badge with honor.

To every officer serving across East Texas—thank you. You are never alone.

We honor. We support. We remember.

Happy Mother’s Day from the East Texas 100 Club

Today, we celebrate the heart and strength of every mother—especially those who uplift our first responders with love, courage, and unshakable support.

To the moms who wear the badge, and to those who stand proudly behind the badge—your role is powerful, your impact is lasting, and your love fuels our communities.

We see you, we appreciate you, and we thank you for being the steady light in times of challenge and the constant source of hope and strength.

Wishing all mothers a day filled with love, peace, and well-deserved recognition.

On April 30, 2025, six (6) members of the Longview Water Rescue Team were activated by the Texas Task Force.

These team members left at approximately 8:00am and will travel to Paris, Texas, while waiting for a further assignment.
While there is no definite timeline, they are prepared to serve a fourteen day deployment. This deployment is in anticipation of the severe weather forecast, with excessive rain being expected.

As always, we ask that these men and women be kept in your thoughts and prayers for a safe and successful deployment.
