Incredible last day of Black Birders Week at Thurgood Marshall Regional Park - Home of the Port Chicago 50. It was a day that honored my dear friend, 1960’s Port Chicago stevedore the Honorable Mr. Willie Mims.

This park rejuvenates the Black Community and gives us hope and redemption.

There is so much to see! The birding is magnificent.

Thank you to for your amazing leadership and squad of outdoor professionals who make this one of the most amazing events each year.

Please join us again for Black Birders Week in 2025, May 25-May 31.

Another beautiful day of Black Birding!

Good times, great connections, and meaningful memories.

Today folks went to Point Pinole to enjoy the incredibly beautiful park and the Dotson Family Marsh. I am grateful to the Dotson Family and their courage to fight for their community rights by preserving land near the historic Parchester Village.

We look forward to a great event tomorrow at Temescal Regional Park at 6pm. Keep in mind the best birding definitely takes place in the evenings. Don’t believe me, come see for yourself. 😉

See you there! 🐦‍⬛🙏🏾🖤😊
