One week from today is National Public Lands Day, the single largest volunteer day on American public lands! Shiloh National Military Park is seeking dedicated volunteers to join in the nationwide day of service as rangers tackle a service project in Corinth, Mississippi. This year the park is working to clean up landscaping at the Corinth Contraband Camp site and spread new mulch there.

Work will begin at 9:00 am with a meeting at the Corinth Civil War Interpretive Center and conclude at 12:00 pm. Volunteers should come prepared with water and clothes they can get dirty in. To sign up, call the Corinth Civil War Interpretive Center at (662) 287-9273.

Day Service – Monday, May 25

Join us in the Shiloh National Cemetery for one of West Tennessee’s longest continuously observed Memorial Day ceremonies.

🕚 11:00 am (one‑hour program)

This year’s service includes:

• Guest speaker

• Patriotic music

• Recognition of military service

• Firing salute

• The playing of Taps

• A special wreath‑laying honoring the cemetery’s lone Revolutionary War veteran as part of America’s 250th birthday commemoration
