Wow, what a start to 2026! 🥳

A few weeks ago, the Chatham Community Food Council kicked off 2026 by cooking up meals for Feed-Well Fridges using rescued food from our community, including some items recovered from our friends at CORA Food Pantry. Together, we prepared 40 total meals for our Chatham neighbors.

Thank you to everyone who came out and helped us cook for Feed-Well Fridges! Our next meeting will take place virtually on Tuesday, February 17, 3:30pm-4:30pm. For more information, contact [email protected].

Folks, we desperately need some new volunteers to add to our fantastic Feed-Well food recovery team. Our most immediate need is for someone to pickup food from our homebase in Pittsboro and deliver it to our fridge at Freedom Family Church in Siler City on Fridays. This shift also involves stopping at Chatham Hospital in Siler to pick up leftover food from their cafeteria. If you can spare time between 1 -3 pm, have a vehicle that can hold about 5-6 crates, and generally just want to contribute to a bad ass cause, please email us at [email protected]
