Your Hendricks County Young Marines participated in the 2nd annual POW/MIA Watchfire event on September 15th at the Indiana War Memorial downtown. The Young Marines along with the Sea Cadets and some Boy Scouts read all 1,724 names of Hoosier POW/MIA from all wars.

This was quite an honor and am proud of these young adults!

Looking for volunteers! 🇺🇸

We are looking for an XO to assist with the running of our Pittsboro Young Marines unit. 🫵🏼 Drill will start the first week of September. The unit has drill once per week after the start of school to the end of spring. They participate in several fun activities throughout the year. 🪖

Pass on the values that you learned as Marines and share them with our youth before other destructive influences take root.

If you are or you know of a Marine Veteran, or have any background in the service and want to help our youth, contact us! ✍🏼

Once you have decided to become an Adult Volunteer, simply fill out the Volunteer Adult Application, submit that application to the Unit Commander who will then endorse the application and send it to Young Marines National Headquarters in Washington, D.C. for approval.

Adult volunteers are individually screened by the National Headquarters based on background information and recommendations provided with each person's registration.

Find a Young Marines unit with our map and learn about how to join the Young Marines, a youth program for boys and girls age 8 - 18.

Happy Independence Day Young Marines!

Man, talk about an encampment for the record books!!! We built some CHARACTER this weekend via slit trenches, ticks, and poison ivy. We had a great time working on knot tying, disposing of retired flags, fishing, learning about caves, and learning a few things about primitive camping. No running water, no A/C, and no electronics. GOOD TIMES had by all!!!!

Young Marines and recruits helped set up for a local event this evening. They earned two hours of community service.

Young Marines units are lead by adult volunteers. Many of these volunteers are former, retired, active duty, or reserve Marines who believe that the values they learned as Marines had a positive effect on them. It is through these caring adults that Young Marines learn the inner values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment while instilling our core values of Leadership, Discipline and Teamwork. 🤝🏼

If you are interested in becoming an adult volunteer or sponsoring our unit, feel free contact us.

Col William P. Davis USMC (Ret), national executive director and CEO of the Young Marines, and David Harl, president of Pinnacle Productions, received the Major Norman Hatch Award from the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation for a 60-minute documentary titled, “Tomorrow’s Leaders”.

The documentary explores youth leadership training by learning from the past. Cameras followed youth members of the Young Marines, as they honored and met America’s veterans in Washington DC, Pearl Harbor, Guam, and Iwo Jima.
