Pischelvile Hall and Cemetery Pischelvile ZCBJ Lodge #8 is a non profit organization! Pishelville Hall, is a building located near Verdigre, Nebraska that was built in 1884.

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on June 29, 1982. The building historically served as a meeting hall for the Czech community, hosting a Zapadni Ceska Bratrska Jednota (ZCBJ) lodge that was the oldest Czech fraternal order in Nebraska. The lodge was originally organized as a branch of the Czech-Slovak Protective Society, but was incorporated into the ZCBJ in 1897.

Last Wednesday a small group of us worked at power washing the hall to get the paint off. It was cold and not alot of fun but we got a lot done.

Saturday a small groop worked on taping the windows in preparation for paint.

Today Sunday we had a much bigger crew about 15 willing hard working people to paint the hall and make her look beautiful again! The work was made much easier with the donation of a paint sprayer. It definitely made the process go much faster. The scaffolding that was donated for using to paint the high parts. We also had tractors and 4 wheelers that made things go so much smoother.

It was miserable hot humid again but the majority of the work was done about 3pm we started around 10:30 am. The sign is being repainted and will be put back up soon.

I will get updated pictures when the windows get un taped it looks so nice and clean with it's fresh coat of paint.

It takes quite a group to keep a project moving along smoothly. We appreciate all of our volunteers for there hard work and dedication to the hall.

Ok our Pischelvile Hall people we are going try to have a paint the hall party on the on the 26th. The old girls lookin a little shabby and needs a face lift! I will keep you updated on times as we get closer!

Thank you to everyone that made it to the easter egg hunt saterday. It was good to see all the kids running around collecting eggs. Then to see there happy faces having fun seeing what treats they go in there eggs.

Dont forget next weeked 4-18-26 is the pancake feed bring the hole family for a family friendly atmosphere. Good food and fellowship Free will donation.
