Williamson Creek Community Center News
Spring has sprung and it’s nothing short of spectacular. Everywhere you look, our little corner of the world is bursting into bloom. And the dogwood—our state flower—has truly outdone itself this year. It’s impossible to miss… and even harder not to admire.
When you check your mailbox do you look through the inserts? There are so many coupons for local businesses. After all, a tree or a few was cut down to print all those inserts to bring it to you, you might as well take advantage of the savings. There are many layers in the procedure too make paper to print on. Let’s put them to good use- we’ll also be doing a tiny part of “saving the earth”!
Williamson Creek Community Center is proud to have The Transylvania County Marine Corp Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (TCMCJROTC) represent Transylvania County and have the opportunity to continue to monetarily support the local group. Rich and Wendy Warwick from our community recently went to watch the rifle team practice and present the donation. The team was happy for the Warwicks to stop by to see them practice. It was a beautiful sunny day, and the cadets were awesome- great job cadets! We are thrilled to support your group and all your efforts!
The next scheduled community center meeting is Tuesday, June 9th from 10:00a.m. - 11:00 a.m. We would love to see you there. Please come out and be a part of your Community Center.
Please mark your calendar for Saturday, October 3rd to come to our 3rd annual Chili Cook-off and decide if you are going to enter your famous chili, be a judge or just come taste test all the different flavors of chili submitted.
Williamson Creek Community Center is a hidden gem nestled amongst us in the woods of Williamson Creek Community, Pisgah Forest. Inside the building is one level with a full kitchen and two bathrooms. Our center is located just over three miles from downtown Brevard. A most tranquil spot to gather for group activities, celebrate special moments, social support, relay public information, fund raisers and other purposes. Just the perfect spot for the whole community to enjoy.
Please watch here in the Transylvania Times, Social Media and informational signs for clean-up and maintenance dates for opportunities to come out and volunteer for our center.
Our center is 501(c)3 non-profit. Donations are needed and appreciated and tax deductible.
