The Hellenic Link of New Jersey is a professional and cultural organization registered in the State of New Jersey as a not-for-profit entity. The Hellenic Link is open to all professionals who are Hellenes or Philhellenes. The minimum requirement for an individual to become a full member of the Hellenic Link is to be a university graduate with a bachelor’s or equivalent degree. The Hellenic Link h
as also numerous supporters and associates who have become the major force behind its success over the years. The Hellenic Link of New Jersey has been very active in organizing and participating in many conferences, especially the International Environmental Conferences in Greece, the Telecommunications Conference in Crete and the S.A.E. (Symboulio Apodimou Ellinismou) conferences in Thessaloniki. The Hellenic Link of New Jersey is also very active on a local basis. During its 25 years of existence in New Jersey, it has held numerous events pertaining to National Issues (Ethnika Themata), Social Issues, Ecclesiastical and Historical Issues, etc. Dr. Dimitrios Konstantelos, Prof. Christos Tomaras, Dr. Elizabeth Prodromou, Dr. Alexander Kyrou, Mr. Antonis Diamataris, Dr. Peter Kallelis, Prof. John Zahariadis, Prof. Yannis Scarlatos, Prof. Christos Ioannidis and others, have been associated with the Hellenic Link and its activities. The Hellenic Link of New Jersey recognizes the need of Hellenic Professionals to socialize with others of the same background, culture, education, and language. To fulfill this noble sentiment the Hellenic Link organizes an array of social events which in most cases are utterly successful. Some of those include its annual Christmas Party (with Santa Claus and gifts for the children), the annual picnic in September and frequent dinner-lectures throughout the year featuring prominent guest speakers. Besides those organized events, a host of other impromptu social gatherings occur in different locations where members and friends get together for dining, socializing and networking. All the above mentioned cultural, scientific and social activities -that the Hellenic Link of New Jersey organizes - bring together hundreds of Hellenic professionals and maintain a strong link of tradition and affinity among them. a. To contribute to various programs, projects and activities to aid the progress and development of a democratic Greece. b. To establish “information banks” of available talents in educational, artistic, humanistic, scientific and technological disciplines. c. To foster and promote inter-and intra-disciplinary cooperation and fellowship among professionals, both in Greece and America. d. To seek opportunities for its members to actively participate in joint projects in which their expertise would be maximally utilized. e. To arrange for the exchange of students, educators and scholars, both in the humanistic disciplines and applied fields both in America and Greece. f. To sponsor specific programs of training and research. g. To establish communication with individuals, private and public institutions, Professional Societies, Business Associations and Government agencies, both in America and Greece. h. To initiate any actions and programs consistent with the organization’s objectives and aimed at enriching the Hellenic Heritage of its members and the Hellenic Community.
