Last week in middle school and high school chapel we had Open Heaven Collective back on campus to lead worship! After worship Dean Rodriguez shared a recap of each month’s focus during this year’s theme “Seek His Presence!”

Last week our high school band members played for our students during lower and upper elementary chapel! The band members introduced each instrument and Mrs. Colonnello talked about the different musical elements heard in the songs!

This past Tuesday was the MS/HS Band and Choir concert! 🎵 Songs like Star Wars, Beauty and the Beast, Inspector Gadget, Shout to the Lord, Footloose, Livin’ on a Prayer, You’ve Got a Friend in Me, and the jazz classic Sing, Sing, Sing, took us on a journey through favorites old and new!

Some of the favorite moments of the night were when the middle school choir broke out a boombox, inflatable guitars, and saxophones during an awesome 80s mashup and later when the high school choir put on sunglasses and the boys danced during the guitar solo!

The most touching part of the evening was the Presentation of Seniors. Mrs. Colonnello lovingly honored each senior, sharing memories and stories from their years together, reflecting on their growth, and encouraging them as they step into the next season of life. Her words spoke to their accomplishments as musicians and to the unique people God created them to be. It was a beautiful tribute to the relationships built over years of rehearsals, performances, and shared experiences.

The night concluded with a powerful performance of Total Praise by the combined middle school and high school choirs along with the staff choir. Hearing students and staff worship together was a meaningful finale reminding us that every talent, every lesson, and every season points back to the One who deserves all praise. The song’s message of looking to God as our strength and source of hope was a beautiful sendoff for our seniors and a powerful ending to an unforgettable evening.

Congratulations to all of the musicians, especially the Class of 2026 seniors. Thank you to our incredible music director Mrs. Colonnello! Thank you for all of the hard work and dedication you put into the TCS music program! It does not go unnoticed or unappreciated! Thank you to all who helped make this night possible for our students!! 👏🎶

Today is Family Story Friday! Meet the Recinos Family!

The Recinos Family is new to Timothy Christian School this year! Their daughter attended our Summer Quest Little Explorers Camp before she started school and loved it! She is thriving this year in our K4 classroom. We are so blessed to have the Recinos family with us and look forward to continuing to partner together for years to come!
