Knollwood School PTO The Knollwood Parent Teachers Organization Going forward we will provide receipts upon request for any donations of cash, goods or services to the PTO.

The Knollwood Parent Teachers Organization is a non profit organization which is committed to promoting the welfare of our Knollwood students and bringing the parents, teachers, staff and the community closer together in support of our students’ educational needs. The PTO runs fundraising events throughout the year, including our major event, the annual Walk-A-Thon, where we retain 100% of all fun

ds. We also host Book Fairs, Clothing Drives and during the school year we collect Box Tops, printer cartridges and of course membership dues! The funds raised at the various PTO events are used for supplies, class trips, assemblies and programs to supplement our children’s educational experience. On December 30, 2009 the Knollwood PTO was officially granted 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status by the Internal Revenue Service. This means that all donations to the Knollwood PTO are now tax deductible under section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code. The success of our organization is directly attributed to our members and volunteers. So, we encourage you to join and volunteer! We look forward to your continued support and hope to see you at our 1st Knollwood PTO event in September!!!

Although this school year is coming to a close, the PTO is already planning the next school year. Our last PTO meeting is an important one, where we will be holding our PTO elections for our Board. Up for re-election is our President, Co-President, and Secretary. We are currently looking for a Vice-President and Treasurer to complete our Knollwood Board. We had a great week showering our teachers and staff with lots of goodies. Monday we started off the week with breakfast filled with items donated by our parents. They enjoyed bagels, donuts, coffee and fruit. Tuesday a snack card went around where everyone was able to refuel for the day. Wednesday we surprised our teachers with coffee truck. Their coffee and drinks were delicious and a great way to celebrate our teachers & staff. Thursday everyone enjoyed a cookie from . The workers at our south Plainfield location were so great in making this part of our week possible. Everyone also enjoyed a hydration station filled with donations from . And finally Friday everyone closed out the week with a lunch from plus lots of dessert, drink, and snack donations from our wonderful families. Thank you to our amazing teachers and staff for all you do for our kids.
