The Foundation extends its sincere condolences to the Hartzell family as they honor and celebrate a life well lived.

We are grateful to the family for designating The Foundation for memorial gifts in Jim's memory. The Hartzell family has given so much to our community over the years, and it is a privilege to help carry forward a legacy of generosity that has touched so many lives in Piqua.

Lexi is a graduating senior from Piqua High School, and she plans to attend Columbus College of Art and Design. “Through my art I am planning on furthering my sustained investigation with consumerism, which is a worldwide issue.” Lexi said. Congratulations, Lexi!

A Foundation funded project is already rolling through the community this summer. The Piqua City Schools Bookmobile has been in operation for a few weeks and will be out again tomorrow and every Wednesday as part of the Summer Lunch Program route traveling to multiple locations along with the Salvation Army food truck.

Look for it tomorrow as it makes its stops along the route.

Stocked with books for kids to take home and enjoy, the Bookmobile is designed to spark a love of reading during the summer months when school is out and learning gaps can widen. It is a simple but powerful way to help keep literacy skills growing all season long. 📚

This project is one more way community generosity is helping meet local needs by bringing books, learning, and connection directly to kids where they are.💚

Brooks is a graduating senior at Sidney High School and plans to pursue a degree in business operations with a minor in sports management at The Ohio State University. “Ultimately, my goal is to become a leader who creates well-organized, ethical, and service-oriented athletic programs” said Brooks. ☀️ Beautiful weather and a great day on the course made the Indian Nation Station Golf Outing at the Piqua Country Club a memorable event! ⛳

Executive Director Kalette Hittle and Foundation supporters enjoyed the outing while helping support Indian Nation Station and Piqua City Schools. The Foundation was proud to sponsor a hole and support a valued community partner whose live streams and recorded content help keep residents connected to the events and activities across our community.🎥
