As we continue celebrating 25 years of Bethany Center, we want to take a moment to recognize someone who has made a lasting impact on our work and on our community: Richard Donnelly.

Through the Donnelly Advised Fund of The Piqua Community Foundation, Rich has supported Bethany Center for years, helping us continue serving our neighbors who need a little extra help. But his impact goes beyond financial support. Rich has also volunteered here and continues to find ways to lend a hand.

There’s even a very specific job that has become part of Rich’s unofficial Bethany Center duties: making sure the American flag gets changed.

Our flag is mounted high enough that we can’t safely reach it without a lift. So when it’s time for a new flag, Rich sends some friends over to make sure it gets taken care of. It’s one of those small things that says a lot about a person.

Kalette Hittle of The Piqua Community Foundation once put it perfectly: “When Rich won the lottery, all of Piqua won the lottery.”

We couldn’t agree more.

Rich, thank you for your continued generosity, your willingness to volunteer, and for the many ways you have helped Bethany Center over the years. We are grateful for you and for the impact you continue to have on our community.

25 years of Bethany Center has only been possible because so many people have chosen to invest in their neighbors.

Thank you, Rich, for being one of them.

Many Hands, One Purpose,Serving our Neighbors with Love.

A Community Partnership That Makes a Difference:

Bethany Center is proud to be a Partner Agency of United Way of Miami County.

United Way of Miami County invests in local organizations working to strengthen our community, and we are grateful for their support of the work happening here at Bethany Center.

Through our programs and services, we have the opportunity to provide food, clothing, showers, hygiene supplies, meals, and connections to medical, employment and other community resources for our neighbors who need a helping hand.

We are thankful to United Way of Miami County for believing in this work and for helping make these services possible.

This is what happens when local organizations work together to care for our community.

Thank you, United Way of Miami County, for being part of the Bethany Center family.

Summer is well underway at Bethany Center, and there’s a lot happening here every day.

Folks start arriving early for coffee and donuts. Some stop by the clothing bank, charge their phones, take a shower, or just sit and cool off for a while before lunch. We see seniors living on fixed incomes, families and single parents, people with disabilities, those experiencing homelessness, and many others who simply need a little help.

Groceries are available three afternoons a week through the local food pantries, helping families put food on the table.

It’s all pretty simple: a place to come in, cool off, get something to eat, take care of a few basic needs, and spend some time with people who care.

None of this would be possible without our generous donors and volunteers. Thank you for continuing to support Bethany Center and helping us serve our neighbors with love.

As we continue to celebrate our 25th anniversary, we want to highlight some of the businesses and organizations that help make our work possible.

A huge thank you to Crane Pumps & Systems for their continued support of Bethany Center and for their $12,500 corporate sponsorship to help us provide essential services for our neighbors.

Their support goes far beyond a financial contribution. Members of the Crane team also volunteer with us multiple times each month, giving their time and working alongside our volunteers to serve our community.

Crane Pumps & Systems truly makes a positive impact, and we are grateful for their commitment to making a difference and serving our neighbors with love.
