✨ THROWBACK THURSDAY: MISS MADDIE! ✨

Before she was Miss Maddie at AMP… she was a little girl who fell in love with dance and cheer! 🩰📣💙

Maddie spent 14 years dancing and 10 years cheering, including 5 years of competitive jazz, pom & hip hop, also training in flexibility and tumbling. And now, years later, we’re so lucky to have her sharing that passion with the next generation of dancers and cheerleaders!

Today, Maddie is a school social worker who is so loved by the kids she works with, a new mama to their sweet baby girl, a dog mom, a wife, and now a dance teacher and cheer assistant at AMP! 🥹💕

It’s pretty special to see where those years of dancing and cheering have taken her—and even more special that she gets to pour that same love, encouragement, and passion into our AMP kids.

From dancer and cheerleader… to Miss Maddie. 💙 We’re so happy you’re here!

📣 Reminder Parents & Students! 📣

There is no dance or cheer practice October 5th-October 21st due to the stage being utilized by the Calumet Players for their upcoming show "Church Basement Ladies". Grab some tickets and see the show! 🎟️ 🎟️

🗓️We will resume classes the week of October 26th and will be preparing for our winter showcase, so this will be the perfect time to get signed up for dance or cheer!

🩰In the meantime, keep practicing your dance technique and show your parents what you've been up to.

🏈Also, mark your calendars for this Friday, October 9th when the AMP Cheer students will be cheering the last 12 minutes of the Pipestone Arrows Football game with the Pipestone Area Cheerleaders! 💚🖤🤍

Miss Linsey has been dancing since middle school, has been teaching dance for 6 years starting at Reggie Gorter’s Performing Arts Studio and then at AMP. She has been there cheering AMP on since day one — both as a teacher and a member of our board. 🩰✨

These photos are a little glimpse into the many chapters of her dance journey — and we love that her story continues to grow right here at AMP. ❤️

✨ This is what AMP is all about. ✨

Tonight was a special night at Arts & Mentoring Project as our AMP cheerleaders had the opportunity to learn cheers from the Pipestone Area School Cheerleaders — and soon, they’ll get to take what they learned and perform alongside them at an Arrow football game! 🏹📣

But tonight was about so much more than learning cheers.

It was about mentorship.
It was about older students encouraging younger students.
It was about friendships being formed, confidence being built, and our community coming together. 💚🤍🖤

At AMP, we believe some of the most meaningful lessons happen when students have the opportunity to learn from and alongside others. Our hope is that our older students continue to inspire the younger generation, while our younger students someday become the mentors, leaders, and role models for those who come after them.

We are so thankful for the Pipestone Area School Cheerleaders for sharing their time, energy, and love of cheer with our AMP cheerleaders tonight. We can’t wait to see this group cheering together under the Friday night lights on October 9th! 💚🖤🤍🏹📣

This Throwback Thursday, we’re celebrating Miss Amanda and her cheerleading journey—from a young Buffalo cheerleader in Texas, to a coach, mentor, and now an important part of the AMP family.

We love seeing where the journey began… and we’re even more excited about the memories still to come like our girls cheering at an Arrows game alongside the PAS Cheerleaders on October 9th! ✨ 💚
