Focus on the positives this Mother’s Day. It has its challenges for those who have lost children, parents, spouses, partners…
The key is to focus on your life NOW, today. How your loved one would expect you to experience your life today and tomorrow.
Loss is not a temporary condition, but your spirit will strengthen across time as a permanent solution. Absorption is key, acceptance is a requirement- and this only comes with time and an open spirit.
Fill you heart with love this weekend. ❤️❤️‍🩹💐🥀🌼

“It occurred to Pooh and Piglet that they hadn't heard from Eeyore for several days, so they put on their hats and coats and trotted across the Hundred Acre Wood to Eeyore's stick house. Inside the house was Eeyore. "Hello Eeyore," said Pooh. "Hello Pooh. Hello Piglet," said Eeyore, in a Glum Sounding Voice. "We just thought we'd check in on you," said Piglet, "because we hadn't heard from you, and so we wanted to know if you were okay." Eeyore was silent for a moment. "Am I okay?" he asked, eventually. "Well, I don't know, to be honest. Are any of us really okay? That's what I ask myself. All I can tell you, Pooh and Piglet, is that right now I feel really rather Sad, and Alone, and Not Much Fun To Be Around At All. Which is why I haven't bothered you. Because you wouldn't want to waste your time hanging out with someone who is Sad, and Alone, and Not Much Fun To Be Around At All, would you now." Pooh looked at Piglet, and Piglet looked at Pooh, and they both sat down, one on either side of Eeyore in his stick house. Eeyore looked at them in surprise. "What are you doing?" "We're sitting here with you," said Pooh, "because we are your friends. And true friends don't care if someone is feeling Sad, or Alone, or Not Much Fun To Be Around At All. True friends are there for you anyway. And so here we are." "Oh," said Eeyore. "Oh." And the three of them sat there in silence, and while Pooh and Piglet said nothing at all; somehow, almost imperceptibly, Eeyore started to feel a very tiny little bit better.

Because Pooh and Piglet were There.

No more; no less.”

The holidays are beginning- now more than ever, FriendsMATTer. Plan on a nice sit with someone you know that needs one.

Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS) is a condition that leads to repeated and severe bouts of vomiting. Although it’s rare, it can occur in those who use ma*****na daily for several years.

Your digestive tract has a number of molecules that bind to the THC in ma*****na. This can change the time it takes the stomach to empty and can lead to the symptoms of CHS, which may include ongoing nausea, repeated episodes of vomiting, belly pain, decreased food intake and weight loss, and dehydration. These symptoms can be severe and lead to hospitalization. Symptoms may continue until the person completely stops using ma*****na.

If you think you may be experiencing CHS, seek medical attention right away. There is also help available for ma*****na use. Please call Bucks County Drug & Alcohol Commission, Inc. at 215-444-2700 for assistance in finding substance use treatment.

One foot in front of the other… one step closer to new opportunity, hope & purpose.
Pay your love forward today. Remember Friends do MATTer…

In 2005 Kevin Berthia went to the Golden Gate Bridge to end his life.
He ended up talking about his life with Officer Kevin Briggs for 92 minutes while he was on the edge of the bridge.
10 years later they meet on the same bridge in much better circumstances.
Good words and good people can change everything.

FriendsMATTer organization is saddened to inform of the passing of our beloved board of directors member, Thomas Mancini of Solebury Township, PA.
Tom was a life resident of Solebury Township and dear friend of Matthew Daniels whose passing from overdose in 2016 was the catalyst of the formation of FriendsMATTer. Thomas served with the FriendsMATTer organization since 2019, most recently as the board Secretary. He was instrumental in fundraising events, supporting communications, public relations, and stepping in wherever he was needed.
Founding member, Merrilee Scott, noted that “Tom had an incredible gift of instinctive empathy. He could detect turmoil in others and engaged – he instinctively knew how to communicate compassion. His ability to connect and lift those in need was unparalleled. He will be deeply missed here as well as within the entire Solebury community. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, who he revered and deeply loved.”

Please be vigilant staying in contact with persons & families dealing with SUD of Opioids. A simple call to say hello can make a difference.

Researchers say co***ne, m**h and other street drugs are increasingly contaminated with deadly synthetic opioids, contributing to a major spike in deaths.
