Camp Winton, BSA The best Boy Scout camp in the nation! Camp Winton hosts Boy Scout troops and Venture crews for some of the best High Sierra camping around.

Bear River Reservoir provides us with an amazing waterfront, and the forests and mountains all around let campers enjoy amazing canoe camping out of camp. We offer merit badges and programs in waterfront, scout craft, Eagle's nest, range, nature, handicraft, and rock climbing.

CAMP SHOOTING SPORTS DIRECTOR

Reports To: Program Director
Supervises: Up to 6 Shooting Staff

Primary Functions: To run the day-to-day operations of our summer camp shooting sports program by providing leadership to camp staff as assigned.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
• Supervise, train, and motivate the shooting sports program staff in all their activities
• Offer a quality program that follows state, federal, NRA, and BSA safety guidelines.
• Maintenance, inventory, security, safety, and use of all equipment
• Set-up and take-down of shooting ranges
• Once certification has been received, train all assistants in range operations
• Assist the Program Director as requested in camp-wide events or special unit requests
• Upload an advancement report on all aquatics activities to our computer system at the end of each week
• Represent the shooting department at all customer meetings and department head meetings
• Submit a complete inventory of all material and equipment, including condition and recommendations for next year's supplies
• Assist in the set-up and take-down of campsite facilities
• All other duties as assigned.

Critical Elements of the Position:
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must be a role model for staff members and campers.
• Must become an NRA Range Safety Officer for Rifle (will be paid for)
• Must receive National Camp School Certification in Shooting Sports (will be paid for)
• Follows all health and safety guidelines made by the County, State, USA, and the BSA.
• Background checks required.
• Extensive walking and moderate lifting required.

CAMP AQUATICS DIRECTOR

Reports To: Program Director
Supervises: Up to 9 Aquatics Staff

Primary Functions:

To run the day-to-day operations of our summer camp aquatics program by providing leadership to camp staff as assigned.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise, train, and motivate the aquatics program staff in all their activities
• Offer a quality aquatics program that follows state, federal, and BSA safety guidelines. This will include merit badges classes, trainings, mile swim, polar bear swim, motor boating, swim lessons, sailing, and aquatics outposts
• Maintenance, inventory, security, safety, and use of all aquatic equipment
• Set-up and take-down of swimming and boating areas
• Once certification has been received, train all waterfront staff as lifeguards
• Assist the Program Director as requested in camp-wide events or special unit requests
• Upload an advancement report on all aquatics activities to our computer system at the end of each week
• Represent the aquatics department at all customer meetings and department head meetings
• Submit a complete inventory of all aquatic material and equipment, including condition and recommendations for next year's supplies
• Assist in the set-up and take-down of campsite facilities
• All other duties as assigned.
