Sweet Animals Senior Sanctuary & Rescue S.A.S.S.&R. has been in the making for several years. We have worked to make the location and the comfort for the animals we rescue a reality.

While we know that we can't save them all, the ones we do will be family members forever.

So this post is completely pig free. It's almost that time of year that I tear apart dog igloos, clean them and put fresh cedar shavings in for the upcoming cold weather. I'm starting a bit early as I can't put off my right shoulder replacement surgery any longer. I have to get the rescue kids ready before I do. I'm asking if anyone can help me out with buying shavings for their houses. They run about 7.99 a bag plus tax at Walmart and they'll ship them straight to the rescue. It takes about 15-17 bags to do all 10 houses. The older(Senior) kids in the dog bldg still get a house put in each of their kennels for extra warmth. And I will not leave ANYONE outside when the temps are below 25-30°. Every single baby comes in my house. I put crates everywhere with blankies and toys. Yes they get animated movies to watch to keep them from getting to bored. Don't judge me! I already know I'm the crazy dog lady! But I can sleep at night with my choices. If you can help, I would be so grateful. I'm on a limited income and everything for them comes out of it. Should you like to help out with food (always needed!) I have everyone on a salmon grain free diet as recommended from another rescue. (BEAR). Some of you know Jo and she knows her foods! There are a couple of companies that make it at a reasonable price and will ship directly here. Amazon has Nutra Source Salmon and another fish, grain free, red bag. Costco makes their own and will ship also. After surgery, I won't be able to go get food or lift the bags so anyone who can help out, I'll love you forever and give you my first born! Here are pics of the bags of the food. The bedding is pretty self explanatory. Thank you everyone. It takes a village to save our furkids. ❤️🐾
