This is dedicated to those who need to hear this.
Trouble don’t last always… and I’m a living witness.
Sometimes life doesn’t just hit you once — it comes in waves. One thing happens, then another piles on top of that, and then another… until it feels like the weight of the world is sitting on your shoulders.
And in those moments, the only thing keeping you from falling is God.
You have to hold on. Stay prayed up. Keep your faith. Be patient.
Because even when it feels like nothing is moving… God is working.
There have been times I felt like I couldn’t make it on my own. Times when life got so heavy, especially with losing my mom and everything else that came with it. Things you can’t control. Things that just… happen.
But I’m reminded of that “Footprints” poem — the times you only see one set of footprints… that’s when He was carrying you.
And I know He’s been carrying me.
So if you are going through something right now, hear me clearly:
Don’t give up.
No matter how hard it gets… don’t give up.
God is your refuge. He is your strength. He is faithful.
“And God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee.” — Isaiah 41:10
Now let me say this…
I know some of y’all may get tired of me boasting and bragging about my husband — how good he is, how he covers me, how he prays for me. But let’s be real… we hear people talk all day about how men ain’t no good.
But the good ones? They deserve just as much acknowledgment.
Because truth be told, I’ve experienced the negative. I’ve been through it. And I know what that looks like.
So when God blesses you with something different… something real… something healthy… I’m going to speak on it.
Ladies, hear me — there ARE good men out there.
They may be rare… but they exist.
Don’t ever give up on what God has for you.
Because I prayed for mine… and God answered.
And I thank God for my husband — a praying man, a God-fearing man. Because when I feel weak, he covers me. When I don’t have the strength to pray, he prays for me. He reminds me who my strength is… who my redeemer is.
God answers prayers… and I know that for sure.
And let me be real about something else…
I know I might seem a little long-winded these days, but I’ve got some things to say.
I’m usually quiet, posting little funny things here and there… but lately, I feel like it’s time for people to hear my voice.
Hear me when I say — I have a lot to say, and you’re going to hear it.
You don’t have to read it. You’re not obligated.
But I’m going to put it out there.
Because for those who do want to hear it… I’m going to speak.
And my prayer is that it reaches somebody… that it touches somebody… and that it makes a difference in someone’s life.
So hold on to God’s unchanging hand.
He will see you through this.
