Thank you to everyone who got out and made their voices heard yesterday. The right of citizens to vote is the foundation that our country was built on. Our ability to hold our leaders accountable for their actions is what makes America special.

Congratulations to Mrs. Pam Edwards on her victory. My prayer is the Lord gives her wisdom to lead our schools over the next 4 years and that our efforts will draw more attention to the concerns of our parents, teachers and, most importantly, our children.

I cannot begin to express how grateful I am for everyone that supported us on this journey. From the bottom of my heart: Thank you!

Startling confirmation from the Nations Report Card showing that closing our schools was harmful to our children. Average scores dropped in Mathematics and Reading in testing Grades 4 and 8, with Mathematics having the largest decline since initial assessments.

Time for CHANGE in Duplin County.
