🇺🇸 National Police Week 🇺🇸

Each year, during National Police Week, we pause to honor the men and women who have given their lives in the line of duty — those who stood the line between good and evil, and paid the ultimate price.

This week is more than remembrance… it’s a calling. A reminder of the sacrifice behind the badge. The long nights. The unseen battles. The families who carry the weight long after the sirens fade.

Today, the Devoted Few Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club – Wrecking Crew Chapter stands in honor of Deputy Robert Bowlin Sr., a man who served with courage, integrity, and unwavering commitment to his community.

Deputy Bowlin is not just a name on a memorial — he is the father of our brother, SAA Silent Bob. His legacy lives on through his family, through the badge, and through every brother who continues to stand in the gap.

We honor his service.
We remember his sacrifice.
We stand beside our brother.

Many are called, but the devoted are few.

“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” – John 15:13

Blount County deputy killed in car crash while on duty

Blount County, Tennessee – Blount County Sheriff James Lee Berrong is saddened to announce that BCSO Deputy Justin Mowery was killed in the line of duty in a car crash while working his patrol shift late this afternoon.

“I am heartbroken. This is devastating for his family, his shift-mates, this agency, and our community,” Sheriff Berrong said. “We appreciate the swift response of the Tennessee Highway Patrol, and together we are working to determine how the accident happened. We are also thankful for the response from all of the surrounding law enforcement agencies as well as the offers for assistance from agencies across the state.”

Deputy Mowery was 30 years old. After serving as a security officer at University of Tennessee Medical Center, he pursued his desire to become a deputy sheriff with Blount County. He began his career at the BCSO in May 2020 and attended the BCSO Regional Training Academy, graduating from Class 021 in October 2020. He was assigned to evening shift as a Patrol Deputy. In December 2021, he earned a coveted spot on the Sheriff’s SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics) team and continued to serve until his death.

“Please pray for Deputy Mowery’s family, and pray for our deputies,” Sheriff Berrong said.

Tonight, Spartan, President of the Devoted Few LEMC – Wrecking Crew Chapter, alongside SAA Silent Bob, had the honor of delivering Christmas dinner to our very own Heroes of Sullivan County — the men and women of the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office.

We see your sacrifice.
We recognize your bravery.
We honor your courage.

We also took time to stand in remembrance at the Heroes Memorial Wall, honoring and recognizing those who have given the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Their legacy lives on through the brothers and sisters who continue to stand the watch today. They are never forgotten.

While many are home with their families this Christmas season, you continue to serve and protect our community without hesitation. This small gesture is our way of expressing our absolute gratitude, respect, and unwavering support.

From our family to yours — thank you for your service, dedication, and commitment to Sullivan County. 🇺🇸🎄💙
