Yesterday was a first! We’ve never sponsored a school’s field day before, but we have come to love these kids, administration and staff in just a few short weeks! Cody Ford just did what he always does: leaves a check to make everyone’s day a little better! 🔥

We know Cody’s not happy with our second place finish, but we were still playing after 10 teams went home. Thank you to Alexandria City Marshal, Jerome Hopewell, and Pineville City Marshal, Murphy Rachal, for throwing a great tournament. All proceeds go to SHOP WITH A COP. Ford’s Pancake House was a proud partner of this great cause last year. Let’s run it back! Pineville, we did it again! 637 sno balls went out thanks to Ken Blanchard and Cajunman Sneauxballs! Our face painters didn’t stop! Thank you, Snooks Bandy and Elen Waltermyer. Big thanks to Mayor Joe Bishop, who keeps accommodating every request. Parks and Recreation Director, James Rachal, planned and made it all happen. The event wouldn’t be possible without Pineville PD and all our local vendors! But the day belongs to Cody Ford and his commitment to giving back to his hometown! We promise to be bigger and better every year!!

Tomorrow is the big day! Lots of games! DJ, Face painting, sno cones, food and video game trucks, jumpers. Bring the kids! The big fella is almost in the 318 and he’s bringing his wallet with him!!

Cody Ford, an offensive lineman for the Cincinnati Bengals, was selected in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft (38th overall) by the Buffalo Bills. A Pineville, Louisiana native, Ford was a standout at Pineville High School, earning All-State honors in football and track.

At the University of Oklahoma, he was a three-year contributor on the offensive line, blocking for two Heisman trophy winners and helping the Sooners reach three College Football Playoff appearances. In 2018, he earned College Football All-American honors and was a part of Oklahoma’s Joe Moore Award-winning offensive line. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Criminology.

Since entering the NFL, Ford has appeared in 82 games across seven seasons with Buffalo, Arizona and Cincinnati. He remains the highest draft pick to ever come out of Rapides Parish.
