The KY Moms MATR program invites all expectant mothers and moms who are up to 12 months postpartum to attend a FREE education class! All eligible participants will receive a $25 Walmart gift card for attending. To register for a class, simply call 606-337-2070.

Serving the counties of Bell, Clay, Harlan, Jackson, Laurel, Knox, Rockcastle, and Whitley Counties.

Everyone asks, “How’s the baby?” 👶❤️
But after birth, Mom needs someone to ask, “How are YOU doing?” too.

She may be tired, overwhelmed, healing, adjusting, and trying to figure out this whole new life—all while caring for a tiny human.

So check on Mom. Bring her a meal. Refill her water. Let her shower. Hold the baby while she rests. Sit with her and listen.

Because the baby needs care, but Mom needs care too. ❤️

Babies are born with natural feeding reflexes, but brea&tfeeding is a skill they learn over time. Finding a comfortable latch, coordinating sucking, swallowing, and breathing, and building an effective feeding rhythm can take practice for both baby and mom.

With patience, support, and sometimes a little extra help, most babies become more confident and efficient feeders. Every feeding journey is unique, and needing time to learn is completely normal. 🤍
