Teacher Awards - Cross Bayou Elementary School

Each speaker who presents at our club is asked to draw five names from one of five elementary schools in Pinellas Park. When we have a total of 20 names, five are drawn to be awarded.

In September, Immediate Past President Tim Hammond & President Jeff MacKellar presented $50 Awards to five teachers at Cross Bayou Elementary School.

Congratulations to Vivian Caldea-2nd; Litonya Thompson-4th; Erma Hargrove-K-2nd; Tracy Beatty-3rd; Tony Calandra-PE.

Paint Day at Rotary's Camp Florida

What began as dull, faded, bare walls became something bright, fun and inviting - proof of what Rotarians can accomplish together in a single day.

Our club’s participation was part of a much larger mission. Executive Director Rebecca Schultz coordinated an impressive turnout of over 50 Rotarians from clubs across central Florida, all converging on the camp to refresh six cabins in a single day. Different clubs, different cabins, one shared purpose.

Boy, what a difference a day makes! Six dormitories went from worn-out to renewed, ready to welcome special needs campers who deserve spaces as special as the experiences waiting for them at Rotary's Camp Florida.

We meet on Thursdays at 12.15pm for an hour.
