This morning, during breakfast…one of our amazing students noticed his peers’ mess in the cafeteria and stepped up to help by sweeping it up! 🧹👏 His kindness, initiative, and willingness to help others earned him a Brag Tag AND a Hurricane Buck from our awesome cafeteria staff! 🌟
It’s the little acts of kindness that make a BIG difference! We are so proud of our Hurricane showing what it means to be a good friend and a great citizen! 💙💛

Our First Annual Adaptive Pumpkin Patch at Nina Harris ESEC was nothing short of MAGICAL! 💛🧡 Seeing our students explore, experience new sensory adventures, and find the PERFECT pumpkin was PRICELESS! 🎃

A HUGE SHOUTOUT to our INCREDIBLE team of specialists who worked behind the scenes and hands-on to make this day possible! 🙌 From Speech/Language, Cafe, Vision, OT/PT, Nursing, Plant Ops, Behavior, PE, Media, Technology, and EVERYONE in between — YOU NAME IT, they had a hand in making the magic happen! 🌟

From planning and problem-solving to lifting, adapting, creating, and making sure EVERY student could participate, our team went ABOVE AND BEYOND! 💪❤️

This is what inclusion looks like! This is what teamwork looks like! And THIS is what happens when a team puts their hearts into creating unforgettable experiences for our students! 🥰

🎃🍂 HAPPY FALL, Y’ALL! 🍂🎃

What a DAY at Nina Harris ESEC’s FIRST ANNUAL ADAPTIVE PUMPKIN PATCH! 💛💙

Our students had SO MUCH FUN getting out of their wheelchairs and into the grass to explore, feel, and pick out their PERFECT PUMPKIN! 🎃 Seeing those smiles made every minute worth it! 🧡

From apple stamping 🍎 and sensory bins to pumpkin decorating, ring toss, and duck games 🦆, there was something for everyone to enjoy!

Events like these are NO SMALL FEAT! It takes an incredible amount of teamwork, planning, and hard work from our amazing teachers, parents, and staff. From unloading 250 PUMPKINS 🎃, washing them, swimming with them (yes, you read that right! 😂), and cleaning apples to preparing every activity, our team showed up BIG!

💪 TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK! 💪

And judging by those HAPPY FACES, every bit of sweat, hard work, and preparation was SO WORTH IT! 🥰

A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this special day possible! You helped create memories, meaningful experiences, and opportunities for our students to explore, learn, and simply BE KIDS! 🍂🧡

Who says you have to pick pumpkins from a patch when you can go FISHING for them in the POOL?! 🏊‍♂️🎃🙌

Our students took pumpkin picking to a WHOLE NEW LEVEL with an immersive, hands-on experience full of excitement, laughter, splashes, and unforgettable memories! 💦🧡 These kids didn’t just pick pumpkins… THEY WENT FISHING FOR THEM! 🎣🎃

A HUGE THANK YOU to Coach Reliford for getting our students into the pool, creating this incredible opportunity, and helping make the magic happen! 👏💙

This is what it’s all about: BREAKING BARRIERS, CREATING OPPORTUNITIES, BUILDING CONFIDENCE, and HAVING FUN! 💪✨ We’re all about thinking outside the box, creating meaningful experiences, and showing our students that learning and fun can happen ANYWHERE!

🍂🎃👻 FALL SPIRIT IS IN THE AIR AT NINA HARRIS ESEC! 👻🎃🍂

Our students are getting into the FALL SPIRIT as we prepare for our upcoming Trick-or-Treating and Spooky Sensory Dance! 🧡🖤 From spooky surprises to festive fun, we’re making sure this season is filled with smiles, excitement, and unforgettable memories!

A HUGE shoutout to our amazing Plant Operations team for setting up our switch-activated goblins! 👏👻 These awesome adaptive experiences allow ALL of our students to explore, interact, and develop important cause-and-effect skills while enjoying the magic of the season! 🕸️💚

It’s all about creating opportunities, encouraging independence, and making sure EVERY student gets to be part of the FUN! 🧡

Because at Nina Harris, we believe EVERY student deserves a little magic, a lot of laughter, and ALL the spooky fun! 🎃🦇
