What a powerful week at the 82nd Annual Florida Professional Firefighters Convention!!! A special thanks to The Jacksonville Association of Fire Fighters Local 122 for your incredible hospitality.

From intense classes and union fellowship to invaluable networking and long, dedication-filled hours on the convention floor, the voices of Pinellas Park were heard loud and clear. Your leadership team continues to engage, grow, and modernize our local—all while standing firm on the founding principles that define us as a union.

Remembering a Legend:
As we look toward the future, we never forget those who paved the way. This year carried a profound weight for Local 2193. We honored our very First Union President and Charter Member, Teddy York by adding his name to the Last Alarm.
Teddy’s legacy is the bedrock of what we stand for today, and we will forever carry his dedication in our hearts as we continue the fight for our members.

Looking Forward:
We return from the convention energized, unified, and ready to keep moving Local 2193 forward. Thank you to all of our active and retired members for your unwavering support. We say this often, but we are honored to serve our brothers and sisters.

A local brother needs your thoughts, prayers, and help from Dunedin Fire.

One of their firefighters and his wife, a local nurse, tragically lost their 2 year old daughter this past week. A fund has been established to help support the family with this unimaginable loss.

We call on our members, friends, and community to consider making a donation. No contribution is too small, and every dollar can help ease some of the burdens this family is facing during their time of grief.

Delegates from Pinellas Park Association of Fire Fighters, IAFF L-2193 are in Jacksonville this week, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with our brothers and sisters from across the state for the Florida Professional Firefighters (FPF) 82nd Annual Convention. As a proud labor union, our mission is to constantly advance and protect the workforce.

Our team is utilizing every moment here to better serve the members back home:

-Educating to Empower: Our delegates are attending intensive educational seminars focused on the latest strategies in collective bargaining, labor law, health and safety, and grievance representation. We are bringing these tools back to ensure our local remains sharp, protected, and effectively represented.
-Being Your Voice: We are actively participating on the convention floor, casting votes, engaging in debate, and ensuring that the voice of Pinellas Park Firefighters are heard within the FPF.
