We are excited to feature two practical 2026 Conference sessions focused on protecting vulnerable adults through investigation, prevention, and response.
Master Detective Phillip Klimpel of the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office Economic Crimes Section will present “Bad Grandson,” a case study on elder exploitation, financial theft, money laundering, and what law enforcement needs to successfully investigate and prosecute these cases. Paul Coley, CEO of Scent Evidence K9 and former FBI Forensic Canine Operations Specialist, will present “Bringing The Lost Home – Using Scent To Locate Those Who Wander,” highlighting how scent discriminate K9s, proactive scent collection, and the Bringing The Lost Home Program help locate individuals at high risk of wandering.
