I’ve seen a bunch of photos of myself on Instagram, photos I didn't post. Most of them are from my time in the military. This is a photo of me and a K9 I actually got fired from as his handler. He was a serious badass and I didn’t understand how to coexist with him. We did one deployment together, at the end of which I messed up and was relieved of my duties with him. He went to a much better handler and ended up dying when he was blown up while punishing a jihadi wearing a su***de vest. In this photo I am wearing a nice uniform I spent too much money on. I wore it only once. The medals I have are actually pretty silly. I know men that did 5 times more than I did and had half the medals. Regardless. I am glad I had this one photo of me and that badass Dog. His religion was violence and he was the head Rabbi in that congregation. I was very, very fortunate to roll with him. with the realities of what went on with him and the others like him, gave me the impetus to start and here we are. I wrote about this Dog and some of the insanity we enjoyed together. The book is called “Touching the Dragon.” Go to smile.amazon.com and choose Spike’s K9 Fund as your charity of choice. Buy a copy. It’s released 15 May 2018. I hope that you, whoever you are reading this tripe, get the chance to be around powerful life forces like this at least once in your life. 🐾🇺🇸💪🏼
