Given Tufts Bookshop

The Given Tufts Bookshop is proud to support the Given Memorial Library and Tufts Archives, with proceeds from the Bookshop helping further the mission of the Given Tufts Foundation. We were thrilled to see that mission celebrated at the 2026 Legacy Gala, “Honoring the Canvas of Pinehurst,” which brought our community together in support of the Library and Archives. We’re grateful to everyone who continues to support the Foundation, the Bookshop, and the important work of preserving and sharing Pinehurst’s history.

Honoring the Canvas of Pinehurst was held Saturday, Sept. 19, to benefit the Given Memorial Library and Tufts Archives. The 2026 Legacy Gala at the Country Club of North Carolina

🎉 Happy National Senior Citizens Day, Pinehurst!

Today, we celebrate the residents whose experience, energy and involvement help make Pinehurst such a special place to call home.

Earlier this summer, the Pinehurst Village Council adopted a resolution recognizing Aug. 21 as National Senior Citizens Day and reaffirming the Village’s commitment to supporting residents as they age.

And we’re putting that commitment into action. Our Senior Advisory Committee is partnering with Given Memorial Library and the Given Tufts Bookshop to promote healthy aging through lifelong learning, including new collections of books and resources selected with older adults in mind.

Whether you’re on the golf course, playing pickleball, dancing at Live After 5, volunteering or simply enjoying time with friends and neighbors, we’re grateful for the many ways Pinehurst seniors contribute to our community every day.

❤️ Happy Senior Citizens Day! Here’s to staying active, connected, curious and engaged at every age.
