🆘 EMERGENCY RESCUE — WE NEED YOUR HELP 🆘
This tiny, mange-covered street puppy lay alone on the roadside in absolute agony.
Just eight weeks old, Vanya should have been playing, exploring, and discovering the world around her. Instead, she lay motionless in the dust, her tiny body broken and exhausted, as though she had already given up on life... as though she had given up on help ever coming.
When we received this first part of this video asking us to rescue her, we knew there wasn't a second to waste.
As we arrived, a kind woman who had found Vanya was waiting for us, holding the tiny puppy safely in her arms. She couldn't bear to leave her suffering alone and stayed by her side until help arrived.
The severity of Vanya's injuries became clear immediately. Vanya wasn't simply injured—she was in a horrendous condition. This poor little puppy looked absolutely miserable, and seeing her like that broke our hearts.
The bone in her tiny leg had broken completely. As the fracture shifted, the bone had broken through her fragile skin, causing severe open wounds and devastating damage to her tiny leg, leaving her with a catastrophic open fracture.
Covered in mange and wounds all over her tiny body, weak from suffering, and barely more than a baby, Vanya had somehow survived alone with this devastating injury.
We rushed her straight to the veterinarian, where the team immediately began stabilizing her. Vanya was given fluids, pain relief, antibiotics, and treatment for her severe mange while we waited anxiously for the x-rays. The results confirmed our fears: a complete fracture requiring urgent orthopedic surgery.
Tonight, Vanya remains hospitalized and is receiving around-the-clock care. Tomorrow morning, she will undergo surgery as the veterinary team works to repair her broken leg and give her the chance to live without pain.
As we sit with this tiny puppy tonight, we cannot stop thinking about how much suffering this little baby has already endured in her short life. At only eight weeks old, she should know comfort, safety, and love—not misery, suffering, and pain.
But tonight, for the first time in a long time, Vanya is safe. For the first time, she does not have to suffer alone. Tomorrow, we will do everything possible to give her the future she deserves.
The problem is that we are drowning in veterinary bills. This month alone, we have faced one orthopedic emergency after another. Surgeries, hospitalization, medications, and ongoing medical care are mounting faster than we can keep up, but we could never leave Vanya behind.

Someone looked at Gina and decided she wasn’t worth saving. 💔

When her back leg was shattered beyond repair, nobody took her to a veterinarian. Nobody stayed by her side or eased her pain. Instead, they threw her away.

This beautiful young Japanese Spitz was found dragging herself through the streets, her broken leg hanging uselessly beneath her. Unable to walk properly, she scraped her remaining paw against the ground until the skin wore away and the bone beneath became exposed. No dog should ever have to endure that kind of suffering.

Thankfully, a kind couple refused to look away. They brought Gina to safety and contacted Soltis’ Hope for help. When we arrived, our hearts broke. Not only because of her injuries, but because despite everything she had endured, Gina was still so sweet. After being abandoned when she needed help most, she still believed someone would love her.

We rushed Gina to our veterinarian, where the news was devastating but not surprising. Her leg was shattered in too many places to repair, leaving amputation as the only way to free her from the pain she had been forced to endure.

But Gina wasn’t strong enough for surgery. Weeks of suffering had left her severely anemic and too weak to survive an operation, so we spent weeks treating her, improving her blood values, and helping her regain her strength until she was finally ready.

Once her body was strong enough, Gina underwent amputation surgery. Today, just one week later, the difference is incredible. The pain that haunted every movement is gone, and the little dog who arrived broken, abandoned, and discarded is already embracing life again. She is happy, affectionate, playful, and most importantly, comfortable.

The people who abandoned Gina may have decided she was no longer worth the effort. We disagree. Because Gina’s life was always worth saving, and now she will never have to suffer alone again.

Remember Nurla?
A few weeks ago, she arrived at our clinic with a horrific head injury, believed to have been caused by deliberate sharp-force trauma. The wound was severely infected, filled with necrotic tissue and larvae, and it was difficult to understand how such a tiny puppy had survived alone for so long without help.

Today, we are incredibly happy to share a much brighter update.

Nurla’s wound has been healing beautifully and is now almost completely healed, with only a small area still requiring treatment. She has been steadily gaining weight, growing stronger every day, and finally getting to enjoy life the way every puppy should.

Instead of suffering alone, she now spends her days playing with other puppies, receiving endless love and attention from our team, and simply being a happy puppy again.

Over the past few days, Nurla has developed a cough, likely related to the respiratory illness currently affecting several of the puppies in our care. Thankfully, she is receiving treatment and is being closely monitored alongside the other puppies, and we are hopeful she will recover quickly.

Looking at Nurla today, it is hard to believe she is the same little puppy who arrived carrying such a devastating injury. Her resilience continues to amaze us every single day.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Nurla’s recovery. Because of your kindness, this little girl was given a second chance at life—and she is making the most of it.
