“You mines well give up on that old building”

“yall are wasting your time and energy on that raggedy school”

“it’s going to fall any day now” …the BIGGEST one “yall mines well knock it down and start anew”

How many times have these decisions sat on the table or crossed our minds?!? COUNTLESS

While so many contractors have backed out, been COMPLETELY out of our budget , we are STILL very much optimistic and remain diligent in our efforts of restoring that “old raggedy building”

Stick with us🤞🏾🤞🏾

‼️‼️ IT’S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN‼️‼️

NOVEMBER 20th–22nd — ADDOR CELEBRATES THE ANNUAL HOLIDAY PARADE! 🦃🎅🏾🍽️🎄

…and this year, we’re extending the excitement for TWO MORE DAYS!

✨ 3 DAYS. 3 WAYS. ONE COMMUNITY. ✨
Three days of FREE family fun, fellowship, remembrance, and coming HOME.

Our celebration will feature:

🕯️ FRIDAY: Meet & Greet + a special Candlelight Vigil honoring our forerunners and loved ones who helped shape our community.

🎉 SATURDAY: Our Annual Holiday Parade featuring entertainment, local vendors, community fellowship, and plenty of holiday cheer!

☀️ SUNDAY: Homecoming Service + Fellowship before we head back home.

AND THERE’S MORE…
This year, we’re creating a special opportunity to honor our past while investing in the future of Addor. A memorial fundraiser will be woven into our weekend festivities, with avenues for our community, families, and friends near and far to be a part of something meaningful.

More details are coming soon… but trust us, you’ll want to be there!🥰

Four years ago, we joined forces with the current Addor Board, beginning with a simple plea: restore our community center.

While restoration remains at the heart of our work, unity has become one of our greatest values . A value deeply rooted in the history of the Addor Community Center.

Unity in the vision of Julius Rosenwald and Booker T. Washington. Unity in collaboration. And most importantly, unity right here in these woods where so many of our memories live.

We vow to continue coming together for a common cause as we rebuild this center and restore the trust, connection, and unity that make our community home!!
