The Pine River American Legion Post 613 held a Flag Retirement Ceremony this past Sunday in commemoration of Flag Day. Pastor Jeff Sangren kindly offered the opening and closing prayer. The ceremony included musical performances by Rachel Wheeler and Jacki Kline, as well as trumpet music by Jackson Kelley. Boy Scout Troop #102, the Pine River Police Department, and the Pine River Fire Department took part in the retirement of the American Flag. Auxiliary member Patty Sweeney read The 13 Folds of the American Flag, while Troop #102 demonstrated the flag-folding process. The auxiliary provided a complimentary hot dog lunch to all attendees. We would like to express our appreciation to the community and all participants in this ceremony. God Bless the United States of America 🇺🇸

Attention ALL Pine River Chamber of Commerce members, meeting tomorrow Tuesday June 15th @ noon @ the Pine River Legion Post 613. $16.00 inclusive for beef & chicken taco bar. This is a great opportunity for all chamber members and if you have never attended a meeting-YOU get to speak about your business to a captive audience!!! And you learn what other businesses and are doing in our community. TACO in tomorrow, we will save you a seat.

You can still sign up. The LCR Tournament has available spots. For $15.00, you get dinner and entry to the tournament. It is a fun night out, so invite all your friends. The tournament takes place tonight. Food at 6, tournament begins at 7:00. Do not wait.

🍔🌭 WEDNESDAY FAMILY NIGHTS ARE HERE! 🌭🍔

One of the things we loved most about our last week Wednesday Car Show nights was seeing our community come together. Families visiting, neighbors catching up, friends laughing, kids playing, and everyone simply enjoying each other's company.

So, we decided to find a way to keep that feeling going all summer long... without breaking the bank!

Join us every Wednesday from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Pine River American Legion through September 2nd for affordable family-friendly meals and community fun!

🇺🇸2026 Flag Retirement Ceremony 🇺🇸
Flag Day
In honor of Flag Day, the Pine River American Legion Post 613 and the Pine River Legion Unit 613 Auxiliary invite the community to attend our annual Flag Retirement Ceremony on Sunday, June 14, 2026.
🕧 The ceremony will begin at 12:30 PM.
This meaningful tradition honors the American flag through a respectful demonstration of proper flag folding and retirement. We welcome community members, business owners, veterans, and families to join us in recognizing the importance of this cherished symbol of our nation.
Special participants will include:
The American Legion Color Guard
Boy Scouts of America
Pine River Fire Department
Pine River Police Department
At 12:00, The Auxiliary will start serving hot dogs and there will be yard games available for everyone to enjoy after the flag retirement ceremony.
If you have an American flag that is worn, faded, or no longer serviceable, we encourage you to bring it for proper retirement.
Please join us on Sunday, June 14, 2026, as we come together to honor our flag, our veterans, and our community.
