Maȟpíya Lúta / Red Cloud Volunteer Program Find the application info on our website. Red Cloud volunteers work with students of all ages at each of the three Red Cloud Schools.

The Maȟpíya Lúta | Red Cloud Volunteer Program invites men and women to serve the Oglala Lakota people of the Pine Ridge Reservation through work in Jesuit Schools and Parishes on the reservation. The Red Cloud Volunteer Program invites young adults to serve the Oglala Lakota people of the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation through work in Jesuit Schools and Parishes on the reservation. In living the

values of building community, sharing faith, doing justice and living simply, Red Cloud Volunteers work to grow in communion with God and each other, as well as learn through contact with the traditions and culture of the Lakota people among whom they live. This Jesuit-founded program is rooted in the following pillars:

Yesterday we had the chance to honor, affirm, and say goodbye to 5 of our volunteers and our wonderful Americorp Director who are all moving on from Mahpiya Luta volunteer program. Farrell, Devyn, and Devin served as first year volunteers this year and did a phenomenal job for their 1st time in these roles, and Annika and John returned for their 2nd and 3rd years respectively, in which they acted as role models and mentors for all of us 1st years. And Chris, our Americorp Director, kept us all sane throughout the year with his constant and consistent support, positive attitude, and much needed coffee runs. We will miss them greatly, but can't wait to see where they go from here!!!
