We did the Wilderness Survival merit badge overnight at Davis lake. The boys learned a lot and had fun. Covered everything in the book and some fun stuff not in the book. It was a hot day but they cooled off in the lake. Cooked food over an open fire and learned valuable lessons on shelters, water purification, signaling for help, trapping and fishing. Spent the night in shelters they built with just a tarp and some cordage. I think they are ready for their own tv show now😄

For the last 2 months our boyscout troop has been forging and makeing their own knives in my shop. We also decided to make a special gift for our scoutmaster John Willis. So they also worked on a knife as a gift for him. Finished it yesterday and was able to gift it to him at the meeting last night. I think he really liked it😁

Sorry it took so long to post the pictures from summer camp. Been a little bit busy. The boys earned numerous merit badges and awards including first place in the archery and shooting competition. The weather really wasn't bad a little bit of rain but it made the nights cool. A big thank you to all the leaders that made this possible. I personally had a blast And can't wait to do it again next year. John Watson.
