Eleven members gathered at 7:00 PM at Sunnyside. Bob Patterson led the Pledge and Robert Brackett asked for Grace. Much good food and such good friends! Bob Patterson called the meeting to order at 7:49 PM.

The Treasurer’s Report indicated a balance of $20,295.78

OLD BUSINESS:
Still waiting to hear about the grant – stay tuned!

Black History Trail starts at Chipley Center…

Rachel Sharpe led the Pledge and Robert Brackett asked grace for the January Meeting of Sunnyside, on Saturday 03JAN15.

The Treasurer’s Report indicated a balance of $19,431.04.

Eight members and 1 guest gathered to start off the New Year with great company and great food!

At 7:05 PM 12 members gathered at Sunnyside. Bob Patterson led the Pledge and Robert Brackett said the blessing.

The meeting was called to order at 7:48 PM by Bob.

The treasurer’s report announced a balance of $19,393.36

OLD BUSINESS:
LOTS OF FOOTBALL TALK
The grant that Linda has been working on is due Monday.

NEW BUSINESS:
The Chipley Center will have the new book – Image of America – Chipley – by Christmas. You may pre-order now at the Chipley Center.

01NOV2025 - November Meeting of The Sunnyside Community Club

At 7:02 PM 12 members and 1 guest gathered at Sunnyside to enjoy an evening together.

Linda Straub reports that the treasury has $18,920.68
Old Business:
We have raised over $1,300 for the quilt drawing!
The matching grant that Linda is working on for exterior work is for funds of up to $10,000!

New Business
Don’t forget the Historic toy display at the Chipley Historic Center.
There will be a Veteran’s Day program at the Women’s Club at 9:00 AM
There will also be Freedom Fest in Opelika, AL on the 07-08NOV2025. There will be Metal of Honor recipients, a parade, and lots of other activities.

Drawing for the quilt – drum roll – and the winner is Logan Johnson – MaryAnn’s son!

04OCT2025 – SUNNYSIDE COMMUNITY CLUB MINUTES

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!! Bob Patterson led the Pledge and MaryAnn Johnson asked the Blessing for 9 members at 7:00 PM. What a great way to spend an evening – lots of food and friends! Bob called the meeting to order at 7:42 PM

The Treasurer’s Report indicated a balance of $18,845.87

OLD BUSINESS:
Linda is working on a matching grant from Georgia Trust – for exterior repairs and painting.
The quilt that Lou is making is beyond beautiful – don’t forget to get your tickets - $5.00

NEW BUSINESS:
The Chipley Historic Center will have a display of historic toys from the 40s – 60s next week.

Bob Patterson led the Pledge and Robert Brackett blessed the August Meeting of Sunnyside, which began at 7:01 PM on Saturday 02AUG2025.
The meeting was called to order at 7:45 PM.
The Treasurer’s Report indicated a balance of $19,840.15

Fourteen members gathered for an evening of friendship and feasting!

The picture of Charles Koons’ Grand Aunt, Luna Belle Holland, the first principal of Sunnyside was donated to us for display.

September Meeting of the Sunnyside Community Club
At 7:07PM Rachel Sharpe lead the Pledge and MaryAnn Johnson asked grace as 8 members and 1 guest began a wonderful evening of food and friendship.

The Meeting was called to order at 7:47PM. Linda Straub reported that the Treasurer’s Report shows $18,792.19 after paying insurance and paying a cleaner to clean the inside of the building.

OLD BUSINESS:
There are raffle tickets available for the lovely quilt that Lou has made. Tickets are $5 each or 66 for $25. The drawing will be here at Sunnyside on 01NOV2025.

NEW BUSINESS:
We need to do something about the large dead pine tree out front. Maybe John Britt can direct us on that.

05JUL2025 – Meeting Minutes of Sunnyside Community Club

At 7:05 Rachel Sharpe led the Pledge and Robert Brackett asked the Blessing. Twelve members enjoyed some fine food. The meeting was called to order at 7:53 PM.

The treasurer reported that the balance was $19,930.11!!

OLD BUSINESS:
The Fall Festival will NOT take place this year, instead we will have a Spring Plant Sale. We will still have the Quilt Raffle in the fall.

NEW BUSINESS:
August 23 is Emerald Scott’s Art Show in LaGrange – Visual Artists Alliance of LaGrange

We still need a date for the Quilt Raffle – maybe November and start selling tickets in September - $5 each or 6 for $25 (yes that is Rachel math!)
