Thank you all for joining us on Saturday! Despite a little mud, the day turned out great. I think the ribbon ropers were the only ones who walked away needing a hose 😄
We greatly appreciate those of you who shared kind words and were patient with us as we just adapted and rearranged for the conditions! If you had complaints, trust me we heard them. But please know we did our very best with what we had. Unfortunately we just cant control mother nature. And I would encourage you to get involved, volunteer, or step on the other side to see what it takes to put on a rodeo with 104 contestants. That’s 100 sets of parents with 100 different opinions. It takes a lot of work and we do this for Zero dollars. The point of it is to give the kids a chance to compete, a chance to learn, and to have fun!
We want to say a huge thank you to Haize and Ellie Fornstrom for the use of the tractor. And working hard behind the scenes all day on Friday to get the arena so nice before the rain even hit. They are a big reason it wasn’t worse. Cory worked hard for nearly 5 hours before the rodeo started to drain the lake, rearrange things, and get it to dry out. Aside from the last puddle I would say it turned out okay. And hey, we didn’t have any dust!! 😉 That arena really can take a lot of water!
Thank you, thank you to all of our amazing sponsors and those who volunteered on all ends if the arena. We so appreciate each one of you! We truly hope you all had a great Trail Days! Congratulations to all of our winners 🏆 We will get results posted soon.
