We are sending our heartfelt love and gratitude to our community, churches, partnering organizations, and every individual who thought of CASA Women’s Shelter during this holiday season. Because of your generosity, through food drop-offs, toys, gifts, and countless acts of kindness, our women, children, and staff were truly blessed.

Thanks to you, we were able to bless 25 CASA children, and with the overflow of donations, we were also able to share that love with other deserving children in our community.

So many of you played a role in making this season brighter, and for that, we are deeply thankful. I pray a double blessing over each of you for the love and support you’ve shown.

Happy Holidays,
CASA Women’s Shelter 💜

On behalf of CASA Women’s Shelter – Jefferson County, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Pine Bluff Unit’s Inmate Council, Ms. McMiller, and everyone who played a part in making today’s donation possible. During such a challenging time for our organization, today served as a powerful reminder that our community sees the work we do and believes in our mission enough to invest in it.

Your generosity will directly help us continue providing emergency shelter, safety, and support to survivors of domestic violence here in Jefferson County and surrounding areas. We are truly grateful for your willingness to give back and make a difference.

The kindness shown today not only helps us keep our doors open—it reminds the women and children we serve that they are seen, valued, and not alone on their journey to healing. Our goal is to empower survivors to rebuild their lives, regain their strength, and move forward with hope and encouragement.

Thank you again to the Pine Bluff Unit’s Inmate Council – AR DOC for choosing CASA. Your contribution will make a meaningful and lasting impact on the lives of those we serve. 💜

A special shoutout to Mrs. Flora Cook and the Jefferson County Circuit Clerk’s Office for their generous donation and support, and to Shawndra Taggart and the County Clerk’s Office for their donation and participation. We’re so grateful for the part each of you played in this day!

If you haven’t had a chance to donate yet, there’s still time! Thank you to all the offices and teams who stood with us today and helped shine a light on this important cause.

💜 Go Purple Day 💜

Tomorrow 10/9

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM), a time to raise awareness, remember those lost to violence, celebrate progress, and encourage community advocacy. Together, we can work toward a future free from domestic violence.

On tomorrow we’re asking the Pine Bluff community, elected officials and our first responders to “Go Purple” in recognition of DVAM.

Wear purple 💜 to show your support for survivors, honor the lives lost, and help raise awareness. This simple act is a powerful way to stand in solidarity with those impacted by domestic violence.

✨ Want to do more? Send $5 via CashApp at $CASAwomenshelterpb89, or support our “Keep the Doors Open”, campaign by scanning the QR code on the door below. Every dollar helps provide vital resources and support for individuals and families in Jefferson County and surrounding areas.

Good Morning, Facebook Friends!

I’m reaching out with a special request on behalf of CASA Women’s Shelter as we prepare for the upcoming school year.

We are in urgent need of licensed barbers and hairstylists who have a heart for giving, even if it’s at a discounted rate.

We currently have three little girls and three young boys in our care who are in desperate need of haircuts and hairstyling before school starts next week.

If you're a professional who can donate your time or services, or even offer a discounted rate, we would be incredibly grateful. We just want to make sure these amazing kids start the school year feeling confident and cared for, without the barrier of appearance or clothing weighing them down.

If you’re not a stylist but would still like to help, donations are also welcome to help cover the cost of services.
Every bit makes a difference in setting these children up for a successful year.

I know this is somewhat last minute, as other arrangements fell through, but we’re still hopeful! We even have an on-site salon available if you're able to come provide services here at the shelter with proper approval and scheduling

If you're willing to answer this call to action, please message me privately to let me know how you’d like to help.

Thank you all for your continued support, and as always, be blessed! 💛✂️🎒
