This powerful student-centered experience is designed to expose high school, college, and graduate students to the realities, rewards, and opportunities within healthcare careers and rural medicine. Through dynamic panel discussions, networking opportunities, and mentorship, students will gain firsthand insight from individuals currently navigating the healthcare journey.
Student Sessions
Panel 1: A Day in the Life of a Healthcare Student
Students and residents will share honest, firsthand insights into their journeys through healthcare education and training.
Panelists from medical, dental, pharmacy, nursing, and allied health programs, along with current residents, will discuss academics, clinical responsibilities, mentorship, study strategies, specialty selection, work-life balance, challenges, growth opportunities, and the transition from student to healthcare professional and physician leader.
Panel 2: A Day in the Life of a Rural Healthcare Professional
This dynamic panel will feature rural physicians, dentists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals discussing the realities and rewards of serving rural communities. Panelists will share personal experiences, the importance of access to care, leadership opportunities, community impact, and the future of rural healthcare.
These panels are designed to educate, inspire, and empower the next generation of healthcare leaders while providing meaningful exposure to careers in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and rural health professions.
