I am breaking my silence...

I was "caught" leaving my abuser. I thought he was asleep. Just as I rounded the corner of the house I was pulled from my ponytail to the ground. Every time I tried to get up I was repeatedly pulled back down and beaten. I just wanted him to stop and stay away from me. I was doused with gasoline and burned. As I waited for the ambulance I was threatened not to tell. I didn't. He went to see me while I was intubated I couldn't speak. I finally awoke after months in ICU. We went to court 3 years after and had to testify. He was given 60 years.
