Today is Memorial Day. This U.S. federal holiday is observed on the last Monday of May to honor the men and women who have died while serving in the military, particularly those who died in battle or as a result of wounds sustained in battle.

In other words, the purpose of Memorial Day is to memorialize the veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. Consider how we can support and safeguard grieving families and loved ones who are left behind, as well as reflect on why we have the freedom that we enjoy today.

🚨 URGENT FOSTER NEEDED — PLEASE SHARE 🚨

A US Army veteran who served in Operation Iraqi Freedom is currently hospitalized and needs our help — not for himself, but for his two best friends. 🇺🇸🐾

He has a 13-year-old Mastiff and a 13-year-old Chihuahua — a bonded pair who have spent their whole lives together and cannot be separated.

Right now, kind friends are stopping by once a day to check on them, and while we are so grateful for that… these two senior babies deserve so much more. They deserve a warm couch, consistent love, and someone who is actually HOME with them. 🥺

This veteran served our country. The least WE can do is serve him by making sure his dogs are safe, loved, and well cared for while he recovers. He expects to be hospitalized for approximately 4-6 weeks.

We are looking for a foster home that can:
✅ Keep this bonded pair TOGETHER
✅ Provide a calm, loving environment for two senior dogs
✅ Commit to approximately 4-6 weeks

These dogs are 13 years old. They are not looking for adventure — they are looking for a soft place to land while their dad gets better. 💛
