Two Dexter Township Planning Board public hearings this evening may interest Silver Lake Association members, excerpt below from the Planning Commission October 22, 2024 Agenda. The public can attend in person tonight, October 22, at 6:00 PM, at the Dexter Townhall, 6880 Dexter-Pinckney Rd, or watch the livestream.

Public Hearings
A. Public Hearing to amend relevant portions of Section 2.02(R) and Article 4, Article 7, and Article 17 of the Zoning Ordinance to allow short-term rentals in the Lake Residential Zoning District using the short-term rental development standards in the Hamburg Township Zoning Ordinance.

B. Public Hearing to amend relevant portions of Section 2.02, Article 4, and Article 17 of the Zoning Ordinance to allow utility-scale solar, wind, and battery storage facilities.

The Special Assessment District, passed in 2023 with the first assessment on our most recent winter tax bill, will soon result in lake water treatments. The County is inviting Silver Lake residents and property owners to an informational Zoom meeting on Monday, April 15, 2024.
