The 2027 National Civics Bee is now accepting essays! 🐝 Southeast Kentucky Chamber is excited to once again host the National Civics Bee Regional Competition, and we want to see our local students take part!

Open to students in grades 6, 7, and 8, the National Civics Bee challenges young people to think about their communities, identify a change they would like to see, and share their ideas for making a difference. 💡

Students, this is your chance to speak up, get involved, and show how your ideas can help make Southeast Kentucky an even better place to live!

We’ve spent this week sharing the different ways you can make your voice heard in this year’s General Election. Now, here’s one final reminder:

⏰ The deadline to register to vote is Monday, October 5 at 4 p.m. local time.

If you’re not sure whether you’re registered, or if you need to update your voter registration, now is the time to take care of it!

Visit GoVote.KY.gov to register, check your voter registration status, and find official information about voting in Kentucky.

Then, make a plan to vote! Whether you vote by mail, during Early Voting, or in person on Election Day, every voter should have the opportunity to participate.

Registered voters can vote at a polling location the county in which they are registered. However, which polling place you go to may depend on your county.

📍 Vote at your ASSIGNED polling location:
Floyd • Lawrence • Magoffin

Before you head to the polls, be sure you know where to go! Visit GoVote.KY.gov to find your polling location and access official Kentucky voter information.

And remember to bring an acceptable form of identification with you when you vote.

However you choose to cast your ballot, the important thing is to make a plan to vote!
