I’m kicking off National Foster Care month at Thursday’s Child and wanted to show you just how far your generosity goes🩵

When you are pregnant and expecting, you have months to prepare. You have baby showers and plenty of gifts sent your way. But with foster care, your entire life changes in a moment’s notice. You are living your life one minute, and in complete panic the next. Not only do you need all of the baby necessities, but you are also making phone calls, contacting workers, picking up necessary paperwork, and making plans to head to the hospital or office to bring this baby home. Having Thursday’s Child is such a huge blessing to our families and helps so much to make transitions like this as smooth as possible.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. I know we probably get annoying with our weekly posts needing things, but the very harsh reality is that kids never stop coming into care. Thankfully, our families never stop stepping up to the plate and this makes it so much easier to answer that call when it comes🤍

Also, a huge thank you to Pastor Scot Robinson and First Presbyterian Church Pikeville. Without them, none of this would be possible. They are constantly amazing us with their support of this ministry.
