Because of your generosity, we raised $126 - enough to provide an entire year’s worth of books for 8 children! 🥹📖✨

There is truly no better way to honor Dolly’s legacy than by helping put books into the hands of children and inspiring the next generation to dream big. 💖

Hosted at the UPike Weber Art Gallery, this exhibition celebrates the incredible strength, creativity, and heritage of Appalachian artists. If you have original work you want to share with the community, we’d love to see it!

Dolly, the original Mountain Grrl.

She gave us hope that we could be anything we wanted to be no matter where we came from. She gave us a vision that meant we could grow and change, not just for ourselves, but for our community. She allowed us to be proud of where we came from, who we are, where we were going and the ability to bring others along with us.

She was all of us. She was the embodiment of Appalachian women helping Appalachian women.

Sometimes it’s hard to be a mountain grrl, but Dolly sure did make the world love a poor little mountain grrl from the heart of Appalachia.

Now we carry on like the diamonds she taught us we are 🦋💎
